Kristie Harris, Director, University Budgets
Kristie Harris serves as Director of University Budgets, overseeing the development, preparation and monitoring of the universities’ operating budgets and formulation of fiscal policies and analyses relating to the State University System. She is also responsible for overseeing the coordination, development and submission of the Legislative Budget Request, monitoring the annual legislative session in relations to fiscal impact and preparing fiscal impact statements of bill analyses related to the SUS. In addition to her budgetary responsibilities, Kristie also coordinates the annual university financial statements – working in conjunction with the Director of Finance and Facilities and university controllers.
Ms. Harris joined the Board in 2005 as a senior budget analyst. She was previously employed with the Office of Treasury Management and Financial Reporting at Florida State University as an accounting coordinator and the Office of Management and Budget at the Leon County Board of County Commissioners as a budget analyst. In addition, she has taught quantitative statistics at Barry University and served on the Board of Directors at Florida State University School.
She earned a bachelor’s degree in Finance and a master’s degree in Public Administration from Florida State University.
