Ramon Padilla, Jr., Assistant Vice Chancellor, Information Resource Management
Ramon Padilla, Jr., directs the staff responsible for maintaining and enhancing the State University System management information systems, applications, and technical support. He provides guidance and oversight regarding IT strategic planning and budgeting, as well as the development and implementation of related Board of Governors policies.
Mr. Padilla comes to the Office of the Chancellor from Kentucky, where he was Director and Chief Information Officer for the Louisville-Jefferson County Metro Government. He has extensive experience in the management of information technology for local and state governments.
Reared in the Bluegrass State, Mr. Padilla studied at the University of Kentucky, where he earned a bachelor's degree in Psychology, and the University of Louisville, where he was awarded a master's degree in Business Administration.
Mr. Padilla has taught database management at the university level and continues to share his knowledge of information technology as a free-lance writer for C/NET and as a writer for TechRepublic.
